Leader Schumer Statement After Senate Democrats Successfully Force Trump To Back Off Disastrous OMB Freeze Memo

Washington, D.C. – Senate Democratic Leader Chuck Schumer (D-NY) today released the following statement after the Office of Management and Budget rescinded its freeze on federal funding:

“Americans fought back and Donald Trump backed off. 

“Now Donald Trump needs to rescind Russell Vought’s nomination.

“Though the Trump Administration failed in this tactic, it’s no secret that they will try to find another, and when they do, it will again be Senate Democrats there to call it out, fight back, and defend American families.”
