Leader Schumer Statement On Harvard Rejecting The Trump Administration’s Unlawful Demands

New York, NY – Senate Democratic Leader Chuck Schumer (D-NY) today released the following statement after Harvard University rejected the Trump administration’s unprecedented demands of universities, undermining the integrity of these academic institutions:

“The Trump administration is making unprecedented demands of universities aimed at undermining or even destroying these vital institutions. 

“Universities must do more to fight antisemitism on campus, but the administration should not use it as an excuse for a broad and extra-legal attack on these institutions. 

“Harvard is right to resist.”
