Majority Leader Schumer Floor Remarks On The Senate’s Work Confirming President Biden’s Qualified Nominees And Upcoming Votes On Judicial Nominations

Washington, D.C.– Senate Majority Leader Chuck Schumer (D-NY) today spoke on the Senate floor regarding executive and judicial nominations the Senate is considering this week. Below are Senator Schumer’s remarks, which can also be viewed here:

Last week, after confirming several highly qualified nominees like Dilawar Syed to the SBA, I filed cloture on two more executive nominees and two district judges.

On the judicial front, we will soon consider the nominations of Hernan Vera to serve as a District Judge for the Central District of California and Casey Pitts to serve as a District Judge for the Northern District of California. And for the information of Senators, I’ll be filing cloture on more nominees later this evening.
