Majority Leader Schumer Statement Announcing Senate Floor Consideration Of Three Bipartisan Appropriations Bills

Washington, D.C. – Senate Majority Leader Chuck Schumer (D-NY) today released the following statement announcing he will file cloture on the motion to proceed to a package of three bipartisan appropriations bills for Senate floor consideration next week:

“Thanks to the phenomenal work by Appropriations Chair Patty Murray and Vice Chair Susan Collins and numerous colleagues on both sides, next week the Senate will take up three appropriations bills –MilCon-VA, Agriculture, and Transportation-HUD. To continue our bipartisan momentum and start the process on the minibus, I will file cloture tomorrow with the intention to have the first vote Monday evening.”
