Majority Leader Schumer Statement On The Announcement Of 31 New Regional Tech Hubs Made Possible By Schumer-Led CHIPS And Science Act

New York, N.Y. – Senate Majority Leader Chuck Schumer (D-NY) released the following statement on the announcement of 31 new regional tech hubs made possible through Schumer’s all-out push for the CHIPS and Science Act :

“America is launching a new and exciting technological Industrial Revolution. The 31 regional tech hubs across the country, in red and blue states, announced today were made possible by my all-out push for the CHIPS and Science Act I helped author and led by Senate Democrats. For the first time in decades, America is making critical investments to revitalize the parts of America that have great potential but have not benefited nearly enough from the internet-led tech revolution. These investments will spark U.S. led innovation, jump start economic growth, boost job creation, and bring manufacturing back from overseas to legacy manufacturing towns across the country. 

“The new tech hubs will help transform more regions across the country into leaders of the next wave of new technologies. With today’s announcement, Democrats and the Biden administration are delivering on our promise to create new job opportunities that will last for generations.
