Majority Leader Schumer Statement On The Release Of New Prevailing Wage Guidelines That Will Ensure Good-Paying Jobs At Projects Across The Country Thanks To The Inflation Reduction Act

New York, N.Y. – Senate Majority Leader Chuck Schumer (D-NY) today released the following statement on the Biden administration’s release of new prevailing wage guidelines for tax credits under the Inflation Reduction Act:

“The new guidelines released today by the Biden administration are a win for working families. Because of the Inflation Reduction Act Democrats passed, we are expanding the middle class and creating hundreds of thousands of good-paying jobs. These new rules will help ensure that the new energy projects popping up all around the country will be done by union labor and pay the best wages with good benefits.

“The Inflation Reduction Act will turbocharge clean energy projects and create hundreds of thousands of new jobs – lifting up and growing America’s middle class. Soon, families across the country will know that when their spouse or children get these new jobs, they will be around for a very long time.
