On Eve of Tax Filing Deadline, Schumer Calls on President Trump to Release Full Tax Returns Before Pursuing Tax Reform

 Washington, D.C. – U.S. Senator Charles E. Schumer today released the following statement ahead of the April 15 tax filing deadline urging President Trump to release his full tax returns before pursuing tax reform legislation:

“If President Trump is serious about passing real tax reform to help the middle class, he should start by releasing his own full tax returns to erase any doubt of where his priorities lie. Until President Trump releases his full tax returns, a cloud of suspicion will remain and make it much more difficult to get tax reform legislation through the Congress.”
