Schumer Statement After Senate Commerce Committee Advances The Endless Frontier Act

Washington, D.C. – Senate Majority Leader Chuck Schumer released the following statement after the Senate Commerce Committee voted to advance (24-4) the bipartisan Schumer-Young Endless Frontier Act:

“With the Commerce Committee’s bipartisan vote to advance the desperately-needed Endless Frontier Act, we are on the road to making one of the most significant investments in American innovation and manufacturing in generations and keep America number one for decades to come. This legislation will allow the United States to out-compete countries like China, create more good-paying American jobs and help improve our country’s economic and national security.

“I applaud Chairwoman Cantwell, Ranking Member Wicker, and Senator Young for working in a bipartisan fashion to move this legislation through regular order. It is my intention for the full Senate to consider and finish this important legislation before the end of the month, where we expect strong bipartisan support.”
