Schumer Statement On New CBO Report

Washington, D.C. – U.S. Senator Chuck Schumer today released the following statement regarding today’s CBO report and its findings regarding the GOP Tax Cuts’ Effect On The National Debt:

“Today’s report is another reminder about the true costs of handing out massive tax breaks to billionaires and large corporations.  The Republican strategy is clear: increase the deficit on behalf of special interests, then use that as an excuse to slash benefits that hardworking Americans have earned.  Democrats will do everything possible to prevent that from happening.”
