Schumer Statement on Proposed ACA Rate Increases in Virginia

Washington, D.C. – U.S. Senator Chuck Schumer today released the following statement regarding the proposed 2019 ACA premium increases in Virginia:

“Just like former HHS Secretary Price predicted, the proposed rate increases in Virginia are exhibit A of how the Trump Administration and Republican sabotage of our health care system will harm middle-class families in this country. By explicitly attributing actions taken by the administration and Congressional Republicans, Virginia has undercut any potential spin that the GOP is not wholly responsibly for higher healthcare costs for millions.”
