Schumer Statement on Tax Reform

Washington, D.C. – U.S. Senator Charles E. Schumer released the below statement in response to Leader McConnell and Secretary Mnuchin’s remarks on tax reform earlier today:

“To Democrats, tax reform is clear: We believe strongly that not one penny go to the top one percent and that any tax reform must be deficit neutral. When Republicans figure out what they want to do, we’d be happy to work with them if they can agree on these broadly supported principles.”
