Washington, D.C. – U.S. Senator Chuck Schumer today released the following statement regarding the Trump administration’s newly released Title X rule—a rule that targets women’s reproductive rights and endangers access to quality health care:

“President Trump’s Title X rule is a gag on health care providers that strongly hinders their ability to work with women to determine the best health care decision. It imposes radical Republican views on American women by strategically putting obstacles in the way of accessing the health care they deserve. This is yet another example of the systematic healthcare sabotage that Republicans have been implementing since day one of the Trump administration, but this time, women’s reproductive rights are the casualty.”
