Schumer Statement on Trump Administration Decision to Make the August CSR Payment

Washington, D.C. – U.S. Senator Charles E. Schumer released the below statement regarding the Trump administration’s decision to make the August CSR payment:

“This is better than not making the payments at all, but it’s not close to what is necessary. Once and for all, President Trump needs to stop kicking the can down the road and agree to permanently fund CSRs. If he does not, premiums will skyrocket, the markets will unravel, and it will be on his back.”
