Washington, D.C. - The U.S. Senate Democrats today unveiled their new website, which will overhaul their digital presence by bringing constituents and news outlets closer to their lawmakers and the legislative process. This new website will allow anyone to access op-eds, speeches, press releases, and reports from Senate Democratic Leader Chuck Schumer (D-NY), as well as learn more about individual senators’ activities, and see the votes and motions that are transpiring on the Senate Floor in real time. The website will also serve as a tool for constituents and media organizations looking to learn more about caucus-wide initiatives, like the Democrats’ “A Better Deal” economic agenda and plan to strengthen America’s middle class. An “En Español” section also allows Spanish-speaking constituents and Hispanic media outlets to access information that is available in English on the site. Finally, for streamlining and greater accessibility, the Senate Democrats have also consolidated the Democratic Diversity Initiative, Democratic Policy and Communications Committee (DPCC), and the Democratic Steering and Outreach Committee (DSOC) finally ensuring that the full spectrum of Democratic resources are readily and easily available.
The new interactive, mobile-responsive website is reflective of Democratic ideals, like transparency, and will provide constituents and news outlets alike better access to the resources that will help keep them informed about the Senate Democrats’ activities and recent initiatives.
