Conference Call on the Bipartisan Surface Transportation Bill (March 22, 2012)
Tell the House to pass bipartisan surface transportation bill now.
On Thursday, March 22nd at 11:00 a.m. EDT, please join Senator Chris Coons (D-DE) for a conference call on the bipartisan surface transportation bill.
The bipartisan bill, Moving Ahead for Progress in the 21st Century (MAP-21), passed the Senate overwhelmingly, by a vote of 74 to 22, on March 14, and would reauthorize the nation’s surface transportation programs for two years. This bill would rebuild America’s roads and bridges, modernize our transit systems, and create or save almost three million good-paying jobs.
If the House does not pass this bill the current transportation authorization is set to expire on March 31st.
This call is not for press purposes.
